Addressing a gathering after garlanding the Statue of Mahatma Gandhi here on Wednesday, he said with a view to spread the welfare schemes and developmental programme being implemented in Telangana across the country, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has decided to form a non-Congress, non-BJP federal front third. “Since KCR is busy with the federal front work, I have been given th party’s responsibility,” he said, adding that he would visit every mandal, constituency and district in the State and take measures to strengthen the party.
Irrespective of caste and religion, people of the State have given 75 per cent marks to TRS party by sending 88 MLAs to the Assembly in the recent Assembly elections. Impressed by welfare and developmental programmes introduced by KCR, people reelected the TRS with a thumping majority, he said.
Though a new State, Telangana had become a role model for the entire country with the introduction of innovative schemes. It was the only State which was supplying 24 hours power supply to agriculture sector, providing financial assistance to farmers under Rythu Bandhu and insurance facility through Rythu Bhima, he said. Besides initiatives to protect the interests of farmers, pensions, Kalyanalaxmi, Shadi Mubarak and other schemes for every community were also introduced. Subsequently, the entire nation was looking towards Telangana.
To provide benefits to farmers across the country and extend other welfare schemes to poor of the nation, KCR has decided to enter into national politics, he said.
